Beyond Laughter is just a metaphor for Joan’s journey from her first having a dream of a ‘clown’ in the 80’s then following that dream towards the launching of the SickKids program, building towards an accredited ‘profession’, then founding the not for profit, Therapeutic Clowns International (TCI), sharing her expertise with the Cubans.
